Amy a Kansas City native fell in love with fitness at a young age and playing soccer was her passion. Amy started taking group fitness classes in high school for cross training and fell in love with it! She has been living her dream of teaching efficient, effective and fun classes since co founding FitFusion in 2011. Amy is a former First grade teacher and exercise enthusiast and has obtained her AFFA certification in 2005. “FitFusion has brought my two loves of teaching and fitness together in one.”
She loves her clients and is motivated by their determination for results. FitFusion clients support and celebrate their successes together. Amy likes to challenge clients and make them believe they CAN achieve anything. In her spare time you can find her actively engaged in her community supporting fundraisers and spending time with her husband Ryan and 3 children.
Mary Kay Sheeran is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor through AFAA, with more than 15 years of experience. She holds certifications from NCEP and AFAA and is a Licensed Fletcher Pilates Provider. She earned a B.A. from the University of Texas and has a teaching certificate from Our Lady of the Lake University.
She currently is co-owner of FitFusion Fitness Studio and is a personal trainer. She has completed 5 marathons and enjoys the challenge of learning new fitness trends. Ever since she started teaching group fitness at Purely Physical many years ago, she knew that one day she wanted to own her own studio. She is so excited that her dream has finally become a reality. In addition to co-owning FitFusion, Personal training and teaching Pilates, Mary Kay is a mother of 3 children.
A native from Peru, Lourdes arrived in VA at the age of 12. She has had a lifelong obsession with fitness that started when she watched the movie “Perfect” with Jamie Lee Curtis. At the age of 14 she asked for a gym membership for her birthday. It was then that she has made working out a life style and not a quick fix. She immediately fell in love with FitFusion when she relocated to San Antonio 8 years ago. Her hope is to get everyone to take the classes that motivate them, change it up often and be open to trying new things.
“Don’t forget your FORM!” She swears that proper form will change you and keep you injury free.
Lourdes is happily married and has three children.
New to the San Antonio area, Caroline discovered FitFusion in search of challenging and upbeat fitness classes. What she found in FitFusion was not only a total body workout but also a sense of community and friendship.
Caroline works as a full time Registered Nurse and was a hurdler on the Saint Louis University track team in college. Living an active life full of exercise has always been important to Caroline. The opportunity to teach classes allows her to share her love of fitness and to encourage others to take control of their health. All you need to do is show up to class; Caroline will provide the upbeat music and sweat drenching cardio moves.
Haley Beckel was born and raised in Alamo Heights, Texas, discovered her love of teaching fitness while majoring in Psychology and Spanish at UT Austin. After earning her fitness certification, Haley went on to teach group fitness classes in Austin for all age groups.
After moving home to attend graduate school at Trinity University, Haley joined the team at Purely Physical and continued teaching group fitness until getting married and moving to New York City. After moving back to San Antonio and having 3 children, Haley was struggling to find a motivating and fun workout and she finally found Fit Fusion! She fell in love with the classes and started teaching for FitFusion in February 2014 and loves every minute of it!
Patti was born and raised in Alamo Heights, Texas. She began working out at Purely Physical while she was in high school and fell in love with group classes. While attending UTSA, she got certified to teach aerobics. After receiving her Kinesiology degree, moving to Virginia for a few years and returning to SA, she found her niche at FitFusion. She loves teaching, loves the classes and most importantly she loves the clientele.
Nancy Barnes was born and raised in Alamo Heights. Nancy is a mom to two boys and works in orthopedic medical device sales. She fell in love with group fitness back in her TCU days at Aerobics to Go. Since then she has joined classes in each city she has lived and she looks for classes whenever she travels.
"I believe that everyday that we can wake up in the morning and workout and move and push our bodies in different ways is an amazing blessing from God that I never want to take for granted. Exercise is not about "being skinny" but about being healthy and fit. Classically trained in ballet, jazz and lyrical dance and with a lifelong love of studio fitness, Elizabeth brings great form and fresh choreography to her class.
She is committed to making every move count and get clients to burn major calories and build muscle without even realizing they are working hard. Outside the studio she is a board certified dermatologist.
A Kansas native, Becca moved to San Antonio in 2012 to continue her swimming career at Trinity University. Throughout her time swimming, she learned the value of hard work and the rewards of pushing your limits both physically and mentally. She loved the opportunity the off seasons gave her to join different fitness studios and try new things. Now that she has retired from swimming, she is excited to have found FitFusion to make her permanent workout family. She loves the sense of community and that everyone is there with a purpose.
Becca is currently spending her 5th year at Trinity to finish her studies in Engineering and Physics. As a Trinity swimmer, she won 3 consecutive Women’s Team Conference Championships and was an individual Conference Champion in the 100 meter Backstroke. She is ready to use this opportunity of leading classes to help you reach your goals and become a stronger person in every aspect. Come to class prepared to work hard and the rest will follow.
Gena Freymann is a Fletcher Pilates Professional Teacher with the Ron Fletcher Program of Study - the highest certification offered by one of the most comprehensive Pilates programs in the world.
A professional ballet and modern dancer since her teens, Gena's experience with the Pilates technique in her own rehabilitation and transformation led her to pursue her teaching credentials in 2004.
Gena believes the profoundly transformative effects of Pilates offers each student a chance to experience life and his or her own body to the fullest.
Leanna Baucum is a 2X National Qualified bikini competitor as well as a certified personal trainer. Leanna found her love of all things fitness related when trying to get back into shape after the birth of her second child.
She is passionate about health and fitness and is pursuing her degree in Health and Wellness promotion from Texas State. Leanna is also a writer and currently writes for Forward Movement magazine. Leanna’s main goal is to motivate, inspire and help others reach their personal goals. She also plans to one day reach her ultimate goal of becoming an IFBB bikini pro.
Faith is a mother of two boys and works as a Pediatric Private Duty Nurse. She grew up active and happy in California’s Eastern Sierras. She was a multi-sport athlete and is still an avid lover of everything outdoors. Faith’s parents instilled in her from a young age that being one with nature is the best cure-all. Faith has resided in San Antonio since 2006.
After discovering Winsor Pilates, Faith made her way over to Yoga. Now, nearly 12 years later, she has been a practitioner of Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Kundalini methods. Faith practices an Ayurvedic, Holistic lifestyle and incorporates these things in her yoga teachings. Faith teaches that Yoga offers physical, mental, and spiritual benefits to all. She also believes yoga is for every-BODY. Pranayama ( breath work) and Meditation are often included in her classes, along with Aromatherapy.
Kim Chica feels blessed to have found her passion for yoga at the age of 19. She completed her first teacher training in 1999. Kim's love of travel encouraged her to study and teach yoga all over the world.
Her classes are an ever-evolving tribute to all of the gifted, creative and authentic teachers and students who have graced her path. Over the years, Kim has seen yoga students transform their bodies and minds. As a mother, she directly relates yoga to everyday life taking delight in its ability bring her back into the present moment in the middle the chaos.
Her personal philosophy is, “The practice of yoga presents both physical and mental challenges. Even in a “stretchy" yoga class, a student should find their edge. Your edge is the place between effort and struggle. When you find your edge, you will find yourself.” She believes truly fit individuals sparkle with purpose, gratitude, humility, and confidence.
